Nairn Albert, Principal
Since 1999, Nairn Albert’s experience in IT has included working as a
Network Engineer for Knowledge Universe Information Technologies in Emeryville
and as Director of Technical Support for Knowledge Learning Corporation in San
Rafael. In these positions, he has acquired more than five years Tier I/II Help
Desk/Technical Support experience, successfully providing both outstanding direct
technical support to remote and local users and supervision to support technicians.
Mr. Albert has developed a strong working knowledge of Windows 98, NT, 2000, and XP
operating systems on Windows NT and 2000 networks, Microsoft Office 97, 98, 2000,
XP, and 2003 suites of applications, Exchange 5.5 and 2000 implementation and
management, Windows 2000 Active Directory, Outlook Express and Outlook, anti-virus
and anti-malware software, dialup and broadband Internet access, VPN, LAN/WAN, WiFi,
and phone line connections.
Prior to working in the IT field, Nairn Albert started his professional career as a
geologist with the U.S Geological Survey, conducting mineral resource and geological
mapping studies in Alaska for more than 12 years. Upon completion of his Ph.D. at
Stanford University, he spent 10 years in the petroleum exploration and environmental
cleanup industries, providing consulting services to clients ranging in size from the
U.S. government and large petroleum companies to small, family-operated service stations.
During this time, he also acquired skills in FORTRAN and BASIC computer programming,
played a key role in the development of a PC-based image cataloguing system combining
digital and analogue optical disk technologies, taught college-level Oceanography and
Physical Science courses, and has authored or co-authored more than 50 scientific
publications. Most recently, Mr. Albert successfully completed a four-month contract
with a world-class eCommerce technology company, in Petaluma, consisting largely of
desktop computer and networking support to approximately 200 users, as well as minor
system administration support on a mixed Windows NT/2000 network.

Robert James, Principal
Since 1995, Robert James has worked as a Network Administrator and CAD-Cam
Programmer for Eagle Manufacturing and Engineering and as an IT Supervisor and
Systems Administrator for Knowledge Learning Corporation, both in Petaluma. During
the 10 years in these positions, Robert has acquired a broad range of solid technical
skills encompassing Novell 3X and 4X systems, Windows NT 3.51 and 4.0, Windows 2000,
and to a lesser degree, Macintosh and Linux. He has also gained valuable experience
with ground-up construction of Microsoft SQL Server 7 and SQL 2000 servers,
converting data from one system to another, data warehousing, Terminal Server and
integrating disparate applications into it, and with IIS, Exchange, DNS, and WINS
Servers. In these positions, Mr. James has also obtained a strong working knowledge
of Solomon, FRX, and FAS accounting software; played key roles in designing and
implementing a company intranet and data warehouse; and wrote custom software using
Visual Basic and Visual Basic for Applications. For much of the last five years, in
addition to his Systems Administrator duties, Mr. James has worked as a Financial
Analyst for Knowledge Learning Corporation, streamlining the accounts payable,
payroll and general ledger processes, while maintaining the integrity of the SQL
databases and their data.
Robert James began his IT career approximately 12 years ago working as an
Engineering Aide in the City of Santa Rosa’s Traffic Engineering Department,
where he conducted traffic studies utilizing AutoCAD and designing and modifying
spreadsheets for accident analysis and traffic control implementation. He
subsequently worked as a consulting Spreadsheet Designer and Quick Basic Programmer
for Petaluma Poultry, where he also provided recommendations for hardware and
software upgrades.
Most recently, Mr. James successfully completed a two-month IT contract with
Rosenthal and Company in Novato, where he programmed a 1099 Access application that
allows the company to file 12,000 1099 claimants for 85 separate entities.

Scott Liddicoat, Principal
Scott Liddicoat’s distinguished IT career spans a period of more than 25
years. During this time, he has acquired exceptional computer programming experience
ranging from computer-aided manufacturing to data-driven web applications.
Mr. Liddicoat is thoroughly versed in Microsoft Windows networking, Microsoft SQL
database development, and Microsoft .NET Framework application development.
In recent years, Mr. Liddicoat has been almost exclusively developing ecommerce web
applications using PayPal as the payment solution. He is a PayPal Certified Developer,
and the creator of Encore’s award-winning PayPal developer tools.

Daphne Pangilinan, Associate
Daphne Pangilinan has more than 15 years experience in IT. Her first position was
as a Systems Operator and PC Coordinator for the Golden Gate Regional Center in San
Francisco. She has subsequently worked as a Systems Analyst for Peking Handicraft,
Inc. in South San Francisco, Systems Administrator for Knowledge Learning Corporation
in San Rafael, and Network Administrator for Quinn Emanuel Urquhart Oliver &
Hedges, LLP in San Francisco. Her responsibilities in these positions include:
administrating a Windows 2000 network, maintaining Active Directory and SQL server
security; administrating a Novell 5 LAN with GroupWise 5.5; maintaining a Nortel
Option 11 phone system with CallPilot voice mail and Pegasys 1500 card key system;
overseeing a Merlin Legend phone and voice mail system; supporting a network
migration from Novell to Windows 2000; supporting the migration of approximately

Scarlett Chidgey has over five years experience in Web design and development
and eight years in managing and creating content for Web sites. For seven years,
she worked for Mains Associates, a science communications company in Berkeley,
CA, lending her writing and project management skills to countless Web sites
and databases for organizations such as NASA, the California Space Authority,
and the Exploration Life and Medical Sciences Coalition. As a volunteer, she
has developed sites for artists and non-profit organizations. She is currently
the Editor-in-Chief of en fuego magazine, an online publication.
